- MBBS course duration is 5.5 years. MBBS duration comprises a 1-year internship.
- MBBS entrance exam such as NEET is the only eligible for students who wish to pursue MBBS.
- According to reports, the National Medical Council (NMC) is expected to conduct NeXT (National Exit Test) Online MCQ Exam for the final year MBBS students to award them practicing licenses, from the year 2023.
- It is being said that in the next few years, NeXT is most likely to replace NEET PG Exam.
- For studying MBBS from abroad, students must pass the 10+2 examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology as compulsory subjects.
- Students who finish Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery can become general physicians and can start earning INR 5,00,000 – INR 12,00,000 per annum.
